This certification demonstrates we comply with IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR), IATA Shipping Lithium Battery Guidelines (SLBG), as well as international standards and best practices.

File A Claim

Claims may be filed by the shipper, consignee, or their authorized agent as listed on our Air Waybill. 

  • Dimensions and weight must not exceed aircraft limitations. Individual aircraft restrictions apply.​ Shipment routing must only include Specialized Pharma certified stations.​
  • Documentation
    • Air waybills must indicate the Pharma Product Type required in the Handling Information field (i.e. Pharma 1, Pharma 2, Pharma 3, Pharma 4). Only one temperature range/Product type is permitted per Air waybill.
    • Air waybills must be typed and provide a 24-hour phone number and contact.
    • ​Air waybills must indicate if Tracking Devices are used before the actual shipment description: manufacturer, model and device ID as per Approved Devices: Delta Cargo Open in New Windowopens in new window. Only approved tracking devices are authorized to be included in shipments on Delta Cargo flights.
    • The IATA Time and Temperature Sensitive Label is required for all Specialized Pharma shipments. The temperature range indicated on the label must correspond with the transport temperature range of the Specialized Pharma product code indicated on the air waybill.
    • Each piece of the shipment must be clearly labeled with the name and address of the shipper and consignee. Please remove all old labels and markings.​
    • All applicable government-regulated documentation must be completed and included with the shipment. Shipper is responsible for securing any required documentation from the destination country. Customers are encouraged to contact the consulate and/or embassy for information regarding documentation requirements.​
  • All international shipments will follow IATA rules for shipping. Shipper is responsible for compliance with these rules.​
    • All dangerous goods shipments will follow IATA Dangerous Goods regulations. Shipper is responsible for compliance with these rules.​
    • Additional government regulations may apply and can vary based on location. Please ensure shipments and documents comply with all local regulations.
  • Shipper is responsible for packing to withstand a total transit time of at least 48 hours domestically and 72 hours internationally, out of refrigeration.
  • Shipments must be packed to ensure safe carriage with ordinary care in handling and to not injure or damage any persons or property. 
  • Shipments should not be kept in the coolers more than 24 hours unless subject to an extensive customs hold or extenuating circumstances.
